About the
project
One of the epic benefits of developing internal companyvideos is that you can really have some fun with them.
You’re still wanting to present information in exciting andengaging ways, but because you’re presenting the information to your own team, you’re not constrained by many of the rules of client facing videos.
You’re not trying to market to new clients, there’s nopressure on reaching a certain conversion rate or introducing new people toyour brand.
In fact, something a little outside your normal style canwork a lot better. After all, they arelooking at your branding, website, marketing and other assets day in and dayout, so something a little left of field is much more engaging.
GoTafe is familiar with this. That’s why when they came to us for aninternal company video to help announce and create excitement about a newonline system, they asked us to just have fun with it.
And what’s more fun than a fantasy quest featuring dragons, unicorns, and, of course, a knight in shining armour.
The video was a huge hit, the process was a whole lot of funfor the GoTafe team, and we finally got to fulfil our lifelong dream ofanimating a dragon.
What more could you ask for?!

Internal company videos come with a unique advantage—you can break the mould and have some fun! Unlike client-facing marketing content, internal videos don’t need to drive conversions or introduce audiences to a brand. Instead, they offer an opportunity to engage employees in fresh, unexpected ways.
GoTafe understood this well. When they needed a video to announce and build excitement around a new internal online system, they asked us to create something bold, engaging, and, most importantly, fun.

The goal was clear:
- Generate excitement and engagement among staff
- Explain the new online system in a way that was easy to understand
- Break away from traditional corporate video styles to capture attention
With these objectives in mind, we saw an opportunity to gamify the experience—turning what could have been a standard explainer into an epic fantasy adventure.

What’s more exciting than a knight in shining armour embarking on a fantasy quest? GoTafe’s internal video became an animated adventure, complete with:
🐉 Fire-breathing dragons
🦄 Majestic unicorns
⚔️ Heroic challenges
By transforming the learning and development experience into a whimsical, story-driven journey, we made the internal system rollout feel like an epic milestone rather than just another corporate update.

To match the fantasy theme and maintain engagement, we crafted a rich, playful animation style featuring:
- Vibrant, immersive visuals inspired by fantasy storytelling
- Expressive character animation to add personality and humour
- Dynamic motion graphics to keep the energy high
- Seamless transitions and visual metaphors to reinforce key messages
This unique approach turned a standard company update into a cinematic storytelling experience, making employees feel like heroes on a journey rather than passive viewers.

To ensure maximum impact, we fine-tuned the animation by:
- Aligning visual metaphors with the system’s functionality for better understanding
- Adjusting pacing and scene transitions to keep engagement levels high
- Enhancing colour and motion dynamics to maintain visual interest
- Refining character expressions and interactions to boost relatability and fun

The final animated internal comms video was a huge hit with GoTafe’s team. It transformed what could have been a dry announcement into an engaging, high-energy experience, proving that even corporate training content can be entertaining and impactful.
And on a personal note? We finally got to animate a dragon. 🐉 Mission accomplished.
